Sun Ta-chuan (Chinese: 孫大川; pinyin: Sūn Dàchuān), also known as Paelabang Danapan[1] in the Puyuma language, is Taiwanese aboriginal educator and politician. He served as the Minister of the Council of Indigenous Peoples of the Executive Yuan in 2009–2013. He is a member of the Puyuma tribe in Taiwan.[2][3]
Early life
Sun did his bachelor's degree in Chinese literature from National Taiwan University, bachelor's degree in philosophy from Fu Jen Catholic University. He then did his doctoral degree in sinologya from Catholic University of Louvain in Belgium.[4]
Early career
Prior to joining the political world, Sun was a professor at the National Chengchi University in Taipei.[5]
