Tim Mikkelson (born 13 August 1986 in Matamata, New Zealand) is a New Zealand rugby union player. He plays in the wing (and occasionally a forward in sevens) position for the provincial based ITM Cup side Waikato.[1] He has also represented New Zealand in sevens rugby since 2008.

Mikkelson plays for the New Zealand national rugby sevens team. Mikkelson was awarded the IRB Sevens Player of the Year for the 2012–13 season, edging the other finalists Dan Norton of England and Joji Raqamate of Fiji.[2] Mikkelson was then named player of the tournament for the 2013 Rugby Sevens World Cup.[3] Mikkelson has scored over 150 career tries for New Zealand in the IRB Sevens World Series, putting him among the top 20 all-time try scorers in that competition.[4]

Mikkelson has also played club rugby for the Chiefs and for Waikato.
