Thomas Andrew Murphy (born December 30, 1945, in Cleveland, Ohio) is a former professional baseball pitcher who played twelve seasons for the California Angels, Kansas City Royals, St. Louis Cardinals, Milwaukee Brewers, Boston Red Sox, and Toronto Blue Jays of Major League Baseball.

He was one of only two American League pitchers to get a hit during the 1974 season. He got a single on June 12 in a 4–3 loss to the Kansas City Royals;[1] Ferguson Jenkins, the other pitcher, recorded a hit on October 2 against the Minnesota Twins while with the Texas Rangers.[2]
