Anthony John "Tony" Benneworth (born 12 December 1950 in Launceston, Tasmania[1]) was an Australian cricketer, who played for the Tasmanian Tigers, from 1971 until 1979.[2]

His batting style is right-hand bat and his bowling style is right-arm medium.

Benneworth was the Liberal candidate for Bass in the 2001 federal election but lost to Labor's Michelle O'Byrne.[citation needed] From 1992 to 1998 he had served in the Tasmanian House of Assembly.[3]
