Valašské Meziříčí (Czech pronunciation: [ˈvalaʃskɛː ˈmɛzɪr̝iːtʃiː]; German: Wallachisch Meseritsch) is a town in the Zlín Region, the Czech Republic. The town has 27,960 inhabitants.
Vsetínská Bečva and Rožnovská Bečva rivers join in the town to form the Bečva River.

History
The first mention of Valasske Mezirici dates from the 13th century. The name comes from the words "mezi-rici" (between-rivers).
