WPRO-FM (92.3 FM) is a radio station in Providence, Rhode Island, United States. The station broadcasts a top 40 format. It is the sister station to WPRO. The station has been owned by Cherry & Webb Broadcasting Corp., Capital Cities Communications, Tele-Media, and Citadel Broadcasting, and was acquired by Cumulus Media in September 2011.
Its transmitter is located in Johnston, Rhode Island. The studio is located in the Brine Broadcasting Center located on Wampanoag Trail on the East Providence/Barrington line.

History
WPRO-FM began broadcasting on April 17, 1948. It was owned by Cherry & Webb Broadcasting Company.[1]
On April 29, 1974, at 3:00 PM, it changed formats from easy listening to its current Top 40 format.[2]
