William Henry "Will" Hatfield (born 10 October 1991) is an English footballer who plays for Guiseley as a midfielder.
Career
Born in Liversedge, West Yorkshire,[1] Hatfield was a product of the Leeds United youth system, having joined the club as an eight-year-old. He rose through the youth team and also into the reserve team, where he captained the side. After receiving squad number 37 for the first team at Leeds during the 2010–11 pre-season, on 28 January 2011, Hatfield joined Conference Premier team York City on loan, where he played four games for the club.[3]
On 14 October 2011, Hatfield joined League Two side Accrington Stanley on loan.[4] He made his debut for Accrington Stanley as a half time substitute against Swindon Town on 15 October.[5]
After his loan spell at Accrington ended, Hatfield and fellow team-mate, Sanchez Payne, joined Lincoln City on trial with the view to joining the club on loan.[6]
It was announced on 12 January 2012, that Hatfield was to leave the club after agreeing to mutually terminate his contract.
On 21 January 2012, he signed for Conference North side FC Halifax Town on a non-contract basis following a trial period with the Shaymen.
On 10 February 2012, he re-signed for League Two club Accrington Stanley, on a deal until the end of 2011–12 season. On 3 November 2012 he scored four goals in an FA Cup tie against A.F.C. Fylde.[7]
