The 58th British Film Awards, given by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts on 12 February 2005, honoured the best in film for 2004.

Martin Scorsese's The Aviator won the award for Best Film, Best Supporting Actress (Cate Blanchett), Production Design and Makeup & Hair. Jamie Foxx and Imelda Staunton won the awards for Best Actor and Actress respectively for playing in Ray and Vera Drake. Vera Drake also won the awards for Best Director (Mike Leigh) and Costume Design.
