Akash Bangla is a Bengali television station.[1] Its most popular program is the Bengali Travel Show "Chalo Jaai" airing at 11:30 pm every night.
The channel started as 24-hour Bengali entertainment channel with soap operas like Kurukhetro, Shanai, Prabahini, Dotta, and Choritroheen but could not survive and changed its format to a 24-hour current affair and news channel in early 2012.
GRP/TRP The channel fetches a grp of 20+ to 40 and its popular show Kurukhetro in its last stage (2009) fetched trp of 0.3-0.6 which was bad as the show use to fetch 1.0-1.6+. The channel averaged a gec of 21 before it changed to a 24-hour news channel gaining 26. it is available on Airtel TV.
