This is a List of the busiest air routes in Australia by passenger traffic between Australia domestic airports.

Month Ending Statistics
The following statistics are for the (most recent) previous month. For example, figures for Month Ending November 2008 are inclusive from 1 November 2008 to 30 November 2008.
The most recent month with released figures is March 2015.
Domestic routes are those flown strictly between one Australian airport and another.
Only routes that are competitive, meaning more than one domestic airline is active, are included in the list below; those airlines being Qantas, QantasLink, Virgin Australia, Jetstar Airways, Tigerair Australia, Virgin Australia Regional Airlines and Regional Express Airlines. Routes where only Qantas, Qantaslink or Jetstar Airways compete are not included. The following figures are calculated by the Department of Infrastructure and Transport.
