Petru Soltan (born June 29, 1931 in Coşniţa) is a mathematician from Moldova. He is a member of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova^[1] and an honorary member of the Romanian Academy.^[2] Petru Soltan is a member of the Mathematical Society of Moldova.^[3]

Petru Soltan served as member of the Parliament of Moldova (1990–1994)^[4] and is a leader of the Democratic Forum of Romanians in Moldova.^[5]
