Sinsinwar is a gotra (clan) of Jats found in Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, India. The Bharatpur rulers of the Sinsinwar gotra originate from Sini/Shini in the ancestry of Krishna;[1] which itself is derived from Krishna's own gotra, Vrishni.[citation needed] They are Chandravanshi kshatriyas.[2]
History
It has been claimed that a Chandravanshi is said to have migrated from Bayana to the Deeg jungles and founded a village named Sinsini, named after the tutelary deity.[3]
