USS Cheyenne (CL-117) was a planned Fargo-class light cruiser of the United States Navy. She was laid down at the Newport News Shipbuilding and Drydock Company shipyard in Newport News, Virginia on 29 May 1944.[1] With the end of World War II imminent, construction was canceled on 12 August 1945[2] and the Cheyenne was later scrapped.
