2. Arrondissement of Castellane, (subprefecture: Castellane) with 32 communes. The population of the arrondissement was 7,970 in 1990, and was 8,125 in 1999, an increase of 1.94%.
3. Arrondissement of Digne-les-Bains, (prefecture of the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence department: Digne-les-Bains) with 65 communes. The population of the arrondissement was 44,723 in 1990, and was 48,128 in 1999, an increase of 7.61%.
4. Arrondissement of Forcalquier, (subprefecture: Forcalquier) with 87 communes. The population of the arrondissement was 70,942 in 1990, and was 75,739 in 1999, an increase of 6.76%.
